Which APK Should You Download?

Three install packages are available for one phone. Here is how to determine which APK matches your device’s processor architecture.

The Three Variants

Variant	Architecture	Who it’s for
arm64-v8a	64-bit ARM	Most phones released after 2017. Recommended.
armeabi-v7a	32-bit ARM	Older phones and budget devices.
universal	Both	Works on every device, with a larger file size.

How to Check Your Phone

Android 12 and Later

Go to Settings > About Phone > Technical Support (or About Phone > All Specs). Look for Supported ABIs or Processor architecture. If it lists arm64-v8a only, download the arm64-v8a APK. If it lists armeabi-v7a only, download armeabi-v7a. If both are listed, download arm64-v8a.

Android 11 and Earlier

Go to Settings > About Phone > Processor (or similar). If you cannot find it there, try Settings > Developer Options > Select Runtime. If it shows lib64 or 64-bit, go with arm64-v8a.

Quick Check with an App

Install CPU-Z (free on Google Play), open it, and go to the SOC tab. Check the Architecture field: arm64-v8a means 64-bit, armeabi-v7a means 32-bit.

What Most People Should Download

If your phone was released in 2018 or later, it is almost certainly a 64-bit ARM device. The arm64-v8a APK is smaller, installs faster, and is optimized for your hardware.

When to Use Universal

Download universal only if:

• You cannot determine your phone’s architecture.
• You would rather not think about APK variants at all.
• Your phone is very old (pre-2015) and may only support 32-bit.

Universal runs on everything, but the file is roughly twice the size of the architecture-specific APK.
